The Manitoba Federation of Non-profit Organizations Inc. (MFNPO) has been monitoring the evolving COVID-19 crisis, and the impact this pandemic is having on our sector. MFNPO conducted an initial survey called ‘COVID-19 and the Manitoba Non-profit and Voluntary Sector’ to determine initial impacts to our sector organizations and the communities they serve. Organizations were invited to participate between April 8-15, and the survey
garnered 176 responses. As they were closing this survey it was reported that the provincial government was considering make cuts to nonprofit organizations with current funding agreements. This necessitated a second survey called “Government Funding Cuts During COVID-19 – Impact to Manitoba’s Non-profit Organizations. Organizations were invited to participate between April 20-25, 2020, and this survey garnered 229 responses.
This report provides a summary of key survey results. A further report with detailed analysis is in process and will be distributed to our Constant Contact list upon completion.
