McMaster grad student, Peggy Kulmala, has asked us to share with you an opportunity to participate in her research study exploring the non-profit sector’s role as the voice of Canadians. The outcomes of this study include providing Canadian non-profits and charities insights and best practices to support their advocacy work – something that may be needed more than ever during COVID-19 response and recovery.

There are two parts to this study, an online survey and personal interviews. During the 15-minute survey, Peggy asks general questions about your organizational listening, advocacy, and overall communications practices and tools. The personal interviews will be approximately 60-minutes via Zoom,  or telephone. During the interview, Peggy will explore with you how your organization listens to its beneficiaries, i.e. those it serves, and how it engages governments as the voice of that population. Participation in either part of this study is completely voluntary.

If you are interested in taking part in this study, please complete the survey found here or contact her directly at kulmalam@mcmaster.ca to schedule an interview.

You can find more information in the McMaster-approved Letter or Information, which includes how Peggy would protect your privacy, the benefits to participating, etc.
