National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Canada’s largest annual celebration of volunteers. The theme for 2021, The Value of One, The Power of Many, reflects on the awe-inspiring acts of kindness by millions of individuals.  Despite the pandemic, volunteers continued to deliver essential services. These volunteers make our communities stronger, especially during times of need. Enter the Volunteer BC photo contest by sending Volunteer BC your photos that showcase the spirit of BC Volunteers – their dedication, caring and compassion during these difficult times. 

This past year, many volunteer roles were postponed or cancelled. Don’t have any photos? Send a screenshot of your virtual activity or a photo of a volunteer with a short caption on how they made a positive impact?  Let’s thank these individuals and celebrate of volunteerism and work of community organizations like yours!

DETAILS

1.Photos will be posted on the Volunteer BC website and social media.
2.Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 photos, included in our Annual Report, and may be used in Volunteer BC’s marketing materials and promoted to media outlets throughout the province.

Prizes: FIRST PLACE $150,  SECOND PLACE, $125  THIRD PLACE $100

Photo Guidelines

  1. Photos must be taken in the 2020-2021 year. ⁣ Multiple photo entries are allowed. ⁣
  2. Photos of volunteers and community service organizations in BC only. ⁣Caption/Story must be provided.
  3. Permission to use photo prior to submission. Photos may be used for Volunteer BC marketing.
  4. Maximum photo size of 10MB and must be either JPEG or PNG. High resolution photos are best for promotional materials. Disclaimer: Volunteer BC retains the right to reject any submission without notice that does not meet the outlined guidelines and criteria.
