Melissa Sariffodeen is a recognized leader in education, technology, and social innovation. As Co-Founder and CEO of Canada Learning Code, she helped grow one of Canada’s leading digital literacy organizations, reaching nearly one million learners across the country. With a background in business and technology, she has worked with global companies such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and TikTok, and has served in advisory roles with the Government of Canada’s Future Skills Council and Economic Strategy Tables. An advocate for inclusive innovation, Melissa is also a lecturer at the Ivey Business School, where she teaches undergraduate students how to leverage technology for impact. Her work has been featured in outlets such as CBC, CTV, and The Globe & Mail, and she has been recognized with honours including Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women, and a Governor General Award. In 2020, Barbie/Mattel created a one-of-a-kind doll in her likeness. Melissa holds a lifelong passion for digital empowerment and began coding at age 11. She now balances her professional work with life as a new mom to her daughter, Aria.

With over three decades of distinguished leadership in technology, Rekha Rao-Mayya is a seasoned technical leader, who has made a lasting impact across companies such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Oracle. As the former CEO of a Not-for-Profit organization, she has demonstrated her commitment to social impact. Rekha is an engineer by education, and also holds an executive leadership certification from George Mason University and a board governance certification from Wharton, further highlighting her commitment to excellence. She is a sought after speaker at prominent platforms, including distinguished venues like The Walrus. Leveraging her wealth of experience, she serves on the board of two Canadian technology startups and contributes her expertise to the board advisory committees for the Canadian Red Cross, United Way Group and Achev.
