The Canadian Philanthropy Partnership Research Network (PhiLab) is accepting submissions for The PhiLanthropic Year, the next edition of its annual journal. The journal brings together analyses, testimonials, and critical reflections on transformations in the philanthropic sector, with the aim of fostering dialogue between researchers, practitioners, students, and community actors.

The theme for the 2026 edition of The PhiLanthropic Year is “Crisis as a catalyst: Transforming philanthropic practices in Canada today”. PhiLab invites contributions that critically examine how crises act as catalysts for change in Canadian philanthropy. PhiLab welcomes theoretical reflections, empirical research, case studies, and practitioner perspectives that explore how philanthropic practices are being reshaped in moments of disruption.
