Calgary Learns announced that the 2026-2027 Program Grant Call for Applications is now open. Calgary Learns, a granting council in Alberta’s Community Adult Learning Program (CALP), allocates and stewards CALP funding. The program provides grants for local learning opportunities that support literacy and foundational learning. Calgary Learns’ priority funding areas include adult literacy, English language learning, numeracy, basic digital skills, and skills for learning.

To be eligible for Calgary Learns Funding, you must:

  1. Be a not-for-profit organization, for a minimum of two years
  2. Operate within the Calgary city limits
  3. Serve adults 18+
  4. Provide no-fee or minimal-fee programming
  5. Offer foundational level learning opportunities (i.e. up to Grade 9 or for ELL up to CLB 4)
