Mental Health Research Canada, in partnership with GreenShield, developed the Youth Mental Health Data Hub. The Hub features an interactive data dashboard that allows users to explore key trends in mental health indicators, critical gaps, and barriers to support for young Canadians. The data provides an overview of young people’s diverse experiences with mental health nationwide.
The Data Dashboard represents data from over 40,000 Canadians who answered questions about their mental health in an online survey. Survey respondents provided information about their own levels of anxiety, depression, and their access to mental health support and the barriers that they are facing. The Hub enables users to dive deep into different areas of youth mental health across many different factors. Mental Health Research Canada notes that making reliable data accessible with the goal of understanding these experiences is the first step to improving care and outcomes for young Canadians.
