CERIC announced an open call for funding career development-related research and learning projects, marking the continuation of its streamlined approach to supporting innovation in the field.  Individuals and organizations are invited to submit proposals for the winter/spring funding window.

Priority areas and scope:

Projects can address any career development topic where a knowledge gap exists, with priority given to four key areas: 

  • Career practitioning with social and economic impact – Research that builds evidence for the social and economic value and public benefit of career development.
  • Impact of career services on policy and programs – Research examining how career services influence and shape policy decisions and program development. 
  • New emerging career development theories and career service models – Innovative approaches and theoretical frameworks that advance the field. 
  • Shifting career mindsets and the role of career development professionals in evolving times – Addressing how career perspectives are changing and how professionals are adapting to meet new challenges.
