The Government of Canada announced that applications are now open for the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage: Community Anniversaries funding, which provides funding to local groups for non-recurring local events.
To be eligible for funding under the Community Anniversaries component, organizations must be:
- a local, nonprofit organization or group;
- a local band council, local tribal council or other local Indigenous government or equivalent organizations (First Nations, Inuit or Métis); or
- a municipal administration, a municipal agency or a public authority of the municipality.
Application Deadline: May 31 for events that will occur during the next calendar year. If the deadline falls on a non-business day or a holiday, it will be extended to the next business day. The funding application must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. (ET).
