Employment and Social Development Canada invites organizations to apply for funding to help persons with disabilities access benefits. The funding program aims to support organizations that facilitate greater access to disability benefits for persons with disabilities and their families, including the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB), as well as other federal, and provincial and territorial disability benefits. 

  • Application period: From August 19, 2026, to October 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)
  • Funding amount: Up to $1,000,000 (up to $500,000 per year) for a project that is 2 years in duration
  • Who can apply: Not-for-profit organizations that have an established disability benefits navigation service and/or have experience and expertise in benefits navigation-related activities

Employment and Social Development Canada will hold information sessions to give an overview of this application process for organizations interested in applying for funding.

  • September 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (English, ASL and CART)
  • September 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (French, LSQ and CART)
