Through the Community Voices research program, Winning Inclusive Solutions (WINS) Canada gathers perspectives directly from people and brings those experiences into broader conversations with employers, community organizations, researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders.

Building a longitudinal body of community-generated evidence

Since its launch in 2020, Community Voices has explored some of the most pressing issues shaping people’s experiences of work, participation and economic opportunity in Canada — including Canada’s changing demographics and diverse population experiences, employment and workplace inequities, the changing nature of work, economic disparities, and the barriers that affect people’s ability to fully participate in the Canadian economy.

The research has contributed to broader conversations through media, academic and policy platforms, including the Toronto Star, Talent Canada, and the University of Toronto’s Ontario 360 initiative. It has brought community perspectives into discussions about workplace equity, employment experiences and the future of work.

WINS Canada has built a longitudinal body of community-generated evidence examining how Canadians experience changing economic conditions, workplace inequities and barriers to economic participation. Continuing this research over time allows WINS Canada to identify emerging issues, observe changes in people’s experiences and bring community perspectives into conversations about Canada’s changing economy and workforce.

Understanding the changing economy and future of work

The current research builds on this body of work. Now in its third year of examining economic disparities and changing economic conditions across Canada, Community Voices is also exploring how higher living costs, changing work conditions and the increasing use of artificial intelligence are shaping people’s experiences of work and economic opportunity.

These issues are increasingly relevant to conversations about Canada’s labour market, workforce participation, economic resilience and the future of work. By gathering evidence directly from Canadians, Community Voices seeks to contribute an important community perspective to these broader discussions.

Take part in the 2025–2026 Survey.

Canadians are invited to share their experiences by completing the current Community Voices survey:

Take the Community Voices Survey

The survey is ongoing through December 31, 2026.

Participation from a broad range of Canadians will help strengthen the evidence available to understand how changing economic and workplace conditions are affecting people across Canada.

Your voice matters. By sharing your experiences, you can contribute to a growing body of community-generated evidence that can inform dialogue, research, knowledge-sharing and future initiatives related to inclusive workplaces, economic participation and the changing world of work.
