The Foundation for Black Communities announced that applications are now open for the Black Ideas Grant Program. The latest granting round, Black Ideas Grant (B.I.G.) 3.0, will distribute a minimum of $8 million to support Black-led, Black-mandated, and Black-serving (B3) organizations across Canada.
The third iteration of the Black Ideas Grant will continue to offer three strategic funding streams:
- Core Stream: Up to $30,000 for essential organizational needs.
- Catapult Stream: Up to $80,000 to launch new programs and initiatives.
- Community Capital Stream: Up to $200,000 for physical space projects that offer long-term community benefits.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for funding, your initiative must:
- Be led by a Black-mandated, Black-led, and Black-serving (B3) organization.
- Address at least one of the focus areas and align with the Sustainable Development Goals and Social Determinants of Health.
- Be based in Canada and completed by March 31, 2027.
Note: Unincorporated organizations or groups may apply in partnership with an incorporated B3 organization.
