Performing effectively as a team requires a sustained and focused effort, and supporting the team in delivering upon the goals of the organization is a critical leadership responsibility. Despite the best intentions, it can be challenging for teams to meet their full potential.
Clear performance expectations, aligning individuals and teams to the strategic plan and organizational priorities, and providing quality performance feedback are all practical skills to help leaders create a sense of shared purpose and commitment to high achievement. During this workshop, leaders will be encouraged to uncover their own opportunities to develop a high-performing team using a practical framework for sustained and customized application both during and after the seminar.

Rick Besteman, CEO and Founder of Lake and Associates Canada Inc.Rick Besteman is the CEO and Founder of Lake and Associates Canada Inc. As a Certified Management Consultant and leadership coach, Rick helps business owners and executives improve performance through clear, practical guidance. With extensive experience in senior roles at a large publicly traded Canadian company, he combines operational insight with a respectful, results-driven approach. A Certified Management Consultant and certified facilitator in The Coaching Leader™ (Forrest & Company Ltd.), Rick is also a Real World Group™ Licensed Facilitator and an accredited Performance Pendulum™ coach. On a volunteer basis he mentors young entrepreneurs through Futurpreneur Canada. When he is not working, Rick enjoys time on, or in, the water, as a member of the St. Catharines Bassmasters fishing club and as a PADI-certified scuba diver. |

Perri Termine, Director of Research with Lake and Associates Canada Inc.Perri Termine, Director of Research with Lake and Associates Canada, blends research with facilitation and program design to support innovative initiatives and strengthen organizational capabilities. With a multidisciplinary background spanning adult learning, community engagement, and global development, her work bridges nonprofit leadership, civic engagement, conflict resolution, public health, and equity focused initiatives. She holds a Master of Education from University of Toronto and is a Researcher alumna of The Reach Alliance, contributing a co authored chapter to the book “Experiential Learning and Community.” As part of the Lake and Associates team, she co conducted research into non-profit leadership practice to develop the Performance Pendulum™, a framework designed to strengthen leader capability in social impact settings. |

Rashmi Biswas, Executive Vice-President with Lake and Associates Canada Inc.Rashmi Biswas is the Executive Vice-President with Lake and Associates Canada. In prior roles Rashmi successfully led large teams, held profit and loss accountability, and gained extensive business experience within corporate and academic arenas in Canada, the USA, and the UK. With a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Adult Education, Facilitation and Training, Rashmi bridges theory and practice sharing over two decades of cross-sector insights with Clients. Rashmi works with leaders across public, private, and nonprofit organizations, and has provided consulting services in Canada, South America, Asia, and the Middle East. Working with a range of Canadian nonprofit organizations prompted Rashmi to examine the unique challenges facing senior leaders within the sector. This led to a research project for the Lake team resulting in the development of the Performance Pendulum™, an original leadership framework designed specifically to address the complexities of leading in contemporary nonprofit environments. In a volunteer capacity Rashmi serves as the Chair of the Board of Governors for Niagara College. |
