Leading for High Performance:
Unlocking Team Potential
Seminar Overview
Seeking to develop a high-performing team?
In today’s fast-paced work environment, motivating your staff and focusing your team’s efforts can be a juggling act. This three-hour virtual seminar will explore proactive ways to support stronger team performance, and provide practical strategies to unlock your team’s potential. The focus of the seminar will be on approaches you can implement right away to support your team in delivering on its mission.
We’ll explore questions such as:
- What does high performance look like in a nonprofit context, and how do we know when a team is achieving it?
- How can leaders strengthen alignment between individual work, team priorities, and the mission?
- What feedback practices reinforce high performance without creating pressure or burnout?
- What systemic barriers commonly get in the way, and how can leaders address them?
- How can leaders nurture the conditions for high team performance in the next 30 days?
What will you take away?
By the end of the seminar, you’ll have:
- A practical lens (the Performance Equation) to help identify where team potential exists and where interference limits results.
- A focused understanding of leader behaviours that create clarity, trust, and the conditions for people to do their best work.
- Tools for strengthening accountability through expectation-setting, feedback loops, and consistent communication.
- Insight into systemic challenges that influence team performance — and practical ways to address or reduce them.
- A 30‑day challenge to strengthen high-performance conditions by applying one or two targeted practices immediately that build momentum after the workshop.
- Peer-informed strategies from collaborative discussion and shared nonprofit leadership experience.
You’ll have opportunities to discuss real workplace situations and bring your own questions to the facilitators.
