These are uncertain and stressful times for so many working and volunteering in the nonprofit and voluntary sector. For many, demands for services are increasing while funding is unpredictable and people are facing wide-ranging challenges, while many nonprofit and voluntary organizations have not been able to provide an employee and family assistance program (EFAP) due to program cost or lack or resources to implement an assistance program.

That’s where the Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia (CSCNS) comes in! By coming together as a sector they are able to offer a very affordable, comprehensive, and progressive EFAP package for your staff and volunteers, and their families. The Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia (CSCNS) is delighted to be working with Aspiria and New Ground Financial Inc. to bring this offer to any nonprofit, voluntary organization, or nonprofit social enterprise in the province at extremely competitive pricing. The higher the participation numbers in the program the more affordable the pricing for everyone. Due to growing interest in the program, they have extended the Expression of Interest deadline to November 16, 2020.

Please visit their website to learn more about how the program works. There are 2 short videos for a quick overview of the program, as well as a longer, more in-depth discussion that will help answer many of your questions. Additionally, there is a downloadable pdf for more information. Completing the Expression of Interest form lets CSCNS know you are interested and they’ll be back in touch to confirm your participation via a registration form and billing agreement in later November with a targeted launch date of January 1, 2021.
