Farm Credit Canada (FCC) announced that applications are now open for the FCC AgriSpirit Fund and FCC Community Funding programs. FCC supports projects that positively impact communities across Canada.
FCC AgriSpirit Fund
The FCC AgriSpirit Fund supports rural communities (less than 50,000 people) across Canada. Eligible applicants with capital projects requiring funding can apply for a minimum of $10,000 to a maximum of $25,000.
Examples of what FCC may consider funding:
- Construction of or upgrades to community buildings
- Initiatives that support agriculture and food
- Projects that reduce your environmental footprint
- Projects that improve accessibility and inclusion
- Projects to support food recovery or reduction of food waste
Application Deadline: May 15, 2026
FCC Community Funding
For the FCC Community Funding program, applications are accepted year-round. Eligible applicants can apply for up to $10,000 in FCC Community Funding annually.
Eligible for funding
- Initiatives or capital purchases focused on:
- Food security: capital or equipment-related needs for organizations or programs addressing food insecurity
- Well-being: supporting the physical or mental health of those working in the Canadian food system
- Education and food literacy: education for people about agriculture and food; creating understanding of production practices and careers in the industry
- Community enhancement: Supporting communities with capital investments or improvements.
