KPMG Canada published new research which shows that organizations are increasingly adopting agentic AI systems, marking a notable shift in how organizations operate, hire talent and manage employees. As part of the study, 306 Canadian executives were surveyed on AI use in their organizations. The research found that while AI is a top investment priority overall, agentic is a key part of their strategy to drive operational efficiency.
According to the study, more than three-quarters (77%) of organizations are already using agents to assist with tasks such as knowledge sharing between departments, and two-thirds (66%) are moving towards a fully integrated AI-human workforce where humans work alongside agents. KPMG Canada noted that over half of respondents (59%) indicated that AI agents have already changed the way their organizations hire entry-level workers, while 63% reported the same about experienced talent.
