With emergency funding support from the United Way Greater Toronto, three Volunteer Centres: Volunteer Toronto, Volunteer MBC, and Volunteer Markham, are joining forces to increase nonprofit volunteer engagement capacity during the region’s COVID-19 recovery.
Nonprofit organizations looking to engage volunteers in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, and Markham/York, are encouraged to access expedited volunteer screening services through their local Volunteer Centres.
What services will be available for non-profits?
- Access to a pool of pre-screened volunteers, including those with Police Checks, reference checks, and/or skills assessments
- Access to new Volunteer Matching Partner programs for intensive and ongoing volunteer screening support
- New online educational resources to help nonprofits and volunteer managers adapt programs to engage volunteers safely
