Speakers at Humane Canada’s™ National Animal Welfare Conference are considered the best and brightest thinkers in animal welfare today. Speaking at #NAWC2021 is your chance to share your cutting-edge animal welfare knowledge with a national audience of your peers. Speaking at next year’s conference will help you expand your professional network and help others work more effectively for Canada’s animals.
Seeking abstract applications under the following themes:
- Community-Based Animal Sheltering
- Challenges to Effective Legal Protection for Animals
- Canine Welfare and Behaviour
- Diversity, Inclusion and Reconciliation
- Farmed Animal Welfare & Behaviour
- Feline Welfare and Behaviour
Seeking abstract applications in the follow formats:
- Presentation – 60 minutes (45 min presentation, 15 min Q/A)
- Workshop or Panel – 90 minutes (60 min discussion or training, 30 min Q/A) or 90 min interactive session with Q/A throughout)
- This format is reserved for an interactive workshop or panel, and lectures will not be considered.
- Lightning talk – 30 minutes (15 min talk, 15 min Q/A)
- This format is reserved for new and emerging ideas -think TED talks for animal welfare – and should include a 15 min captivating monologue with few to no slides and a 15 min Q/A.
