Statistics Canada released the Economic Contribution of Nonprofit Institutions in Canada Report. The data showed a 0.7% increase in real GDP in the fourth quarter of 2025, with the majority of nonprofit subsectors contributing positively to the rise in real GDP.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, income for nonprofits decreased by 0.2%, and the number of nonprofit jobs decreased by 0.1%. Jobs were up 1.8% for nonprofits serving businesses, the only subsector to register an increase in jobs for the quarter. Meanwhile, government nonprofit institutions (-0.3%) and nonprofit institutions serving households (-0.3%) reported decreases in job volume.
