Statistics Canada has launched a crowdsourcing questionnaire to better understand who serves on the boards of charities and nonprofits. In addition to collecting information about the diversity of board members, they will explore topics such as what organizations do, who they serve, and where they are located. This information will help nonprofits and charities better understand how their board compares to those of similar organizations. Data may also be used by Statistics Canada for other statistical and research purposes.

Anybody involved in the governance of a charity or nonprofit organization can answer the questionnaire. Although voluntary, your participation is important so that the information collected is as accurate and complete as possible. Results for this survey will be crowdsourced from nonprofit organizations in Canada. The target population for the survey includes both nonprofit organizations themselves and members of their boards of directors.

The deadline to complete the survey is December 23, 2020.
