Wen-Chih O’Connell is passionate about bridging the gap between the charity and corporate worlds to leverage the strengths of each toward positive community impact. She has over 20 years’ experience in the charitable space that ranges from implementing grassroots community projects as a Peace Corps Volunteer, to developing and refining fundraising, partnership and community investment strategies for nonprofits, multinational corporations and large grantmaking foundations. As the Executive Director and President of PayPal Giving Fund Canada, a CRA-registered charity, she is working to increase funds raised online for Canadian charities by partnering with tech companies (such as PayPal, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, and GoFundMe) to create opportunities for everyday charitable giving.
Stacey Talbot is the President of Ned’s Wish, a charity committed to supporting law enforcement and the Canadian Armed Forces by providing financial and educational support to enhance the quality of life for retired police and military dogs across Canada. A retired RCMP officer with over 38 years of service, Stacey had a distinguished career working alongside dedicated police dog teams in a wide range of critical operations, from searching for missing persons to apprehending dangerous offenders. Her deep respect and gratitude for the tireless service of police dogs and their handlers inspires her leadership at Ned’s Wish, where she is committed to honoring and caring for these retired heroes.
Padraig Attlee Howard is Manager of Strategic Digital Insights & Analytics for Plan International Canada, a leading children’s charity that strives for a just world by advancing children’s rights and equality for girls. Originally from London, England, Padraig is a multimedia analytics and advertising expert with over ten years’ digital marketing experience across the charity and media industries. With a passion for International Development, data governance and marketing strategy, he has an in-depth understanding of the planning, implementation and analysis stages of digital campaigning and fundraising.
Beki Hunt is the Executive Director of the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society, leading efforts to promote wildlife rehabilitation and human-wildlife coexistence through education and compassionate care for injured and orphaned animals. A passionate advocate for animal welfare, Beki co-founded and served as Deputy Director of the Taiwan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA), transforming it from a small grassroots NGO into one of Taiwan’s leading animal welfare organizations and earning global recognition, including the Lush Prize for Public Awareness. An entrepreneur at heart, Beki has owned cafés and vintage shops in Calgary and Vancouver, taught languages in Taipei, and brings her international experience, creativity, and fluency in English, Mandarin, and French to her leadership.
